Shabwa Governor lays foundation for first solar power station with UAE support

Today, Shabwa Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir laid the foundation stone for a 53 MW solar power plant project in the province funded by the United Arab Emirates.
The project, the first of its kind in the province, has an estimated total area of ​​600,000 square meters and is located on the northwest side of Attak city.
The station will include more than one hundred and twenty solar panels, a storage system, a transfer station and a 19-kilometer transmission line.
This is the third solar power plant built in Yemen with the support of the UAE, following the Aden and Moka power plants.
