Creative people are rare, and we admire what they present, whether it is a painting, a novel, a painting, a fine building, a piece of music, a song or performance, a poem, a film, a journalistic investigation, or even a sports game. In all these cases, we usually do not care about the background of the creative person, nor do we care about his tendencies, his opinions or his biography, no matter how frivolous and strange it may be, or even how dissolute and false it may be, because we usually care not about the person himself, but about the creativity he presents.

Committed writers, critics, playwrights or filmmakers, as well as those who play a role in shaping public consciousness, do not fall within the scope of the above paragraphs, for whom it becomes important to have a special status, a clean criminal background and a reasonable resume, and before believing what they write, there is no harm in trying to know something about them, whether it is about their political background, ideological inclinations or other aspects.
For example, we do not recommend reading a particular writer’s opinion, criticism, article or survey and being influenced by it and believing it without knowing his true intentions or whether he is being pushed by a political party, in which case he does not deserve our trust because he has lost credibility or because his actions contradict the “ideals” he appeals to.
The more backward a society is, the greater their number is, so we have a large number of them, and we know that we are among those who suffer the most from serious contradictions in our actions, due to several factors that we have discussed before. I have been shocked or disappointed many times by people, because I thought they were perfect through their “works”, but by getting close to them I knew the truth about them, or so I thought. An example of the hypocrisy of our society is the large number of writers, critics and those who claim to carry the banner of culture and knowledge, and owners of “signifiers”, who are ready to heap praise and flattery on any action of a tyrant or dictator, whether it is a literary work or a political act, as long as there is material interest behind this praise.
For example, Saddam Hussein’s novel “Zabiba and the King”, although a meaningless and absurd novel, has been analyzed and praised by many literary masters. Recently, it was reported that some famous literary and cultural figures have written articles to criticize, analyze and praise Gaddafi’s short story collection “The Village, the Village, the Earth, the Earth and the Suicide of the Astronaut”. He held a seminar entitled “Gaddafi, Thinker and Creator”, which was attended by a group of opportunistic “Arab intellectuals” and Sudanese writers who sold their dignity for a few dollars in exchange for the opportunity to participate in the seminar. The topics of the seminar included “Place in Gaddafi’s Story”, “Time Dialectics in Muammar’s Story”, “Human Dimension in the Text and the Quest for the Moral City”, “The Meaning and Paradox of Place in the Literary Discourse of Creative Leader Muammar Gaddafi”, “The Meaning of Spatial Composition in Gaddafi’s Story”, “Psychological Dimension of the Creativity of the Writer Muammar”, “Narrative Techniques and Language in Muammar Gaddafi’s Story”, “Irony in Muammar Gaddafi’s Literature”, “Representation of Innocence and Surprise in Muammar’s Story” and “Unveiling a Man Followed by History”!!!… and other nonsense.
Looking back at the names of the “elders” who participated in writing these “studies” and critical letters, we are shocked first of all because some people see the halos on these people’s heads and the miserable living conditions in which they may live. What is more dangerous is the inferiority that these hypocritical works represent and still represent, as well as the title of a phase that lasted for a long time, in which the intellectual lost his pioneering role because the living conditions and tyranny forced him to give up a lot out of greed or fear. This is the most important difference between a backward society and its advanced opposite, especially when comparing the position of these people with that of the Israelis, who, together with other Jews and the Palestinian right, oppose their homeland, despite all the risks and losses they face!
