At the 29th regular meeting of the two heads of government, Prime Minister Mishustin said that Russia will soon become a leader in natural gas exports to China.
“Energy cooperation is intensifying. Russia already takes the lead in oil exports to China. “Soon we will also be number one in gas,” Mishustin noted.
During a meeting with Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Mishustin stressed that coal supplies are at a high level. He also noted the progress made in joint work in the field of peaceful nuclear energy. In addition, Mishustin announced the strengthening of industrial cooperation and mentioned the existence of joint projects in the fields of aircraft industry, automobile industry, mining and gas chemical industry, and metallurgical industry. He also emphasized plans for joint development of the aerospace industry and artificial intelligence technologies.
Mishustin expressed at the government heads’ meeting that he hoped the number of two-way tourists between Russia and China would double to 2 million by the end of 2024.
