Luxembourg has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms, which will last from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Almost everyone in the Grand Duchy hopes that the scorching heat will dissipate soon, but in a less drastic way: Meteolux has now issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms, valid from 7 pm Tuesday to 7 am Wednesday.

Rainfall totals could reach 15 to 25 litres per square metre over a short period of time, with wind speeds reaching around 70 to 80 km/h.

An orange heat warning remains partially in effect for the country’s southern regions, but temperatures are expected to drop into the 20s on Wednesday as temperatures drop.
