With the latest edition of “Le MUR” highlighting innovative urban graffiti, Parisian artist PRO176 brings his talents to Luxembourg.

Since its inception in March 2022, LE MUR Luxembourg has become a key initiative in the city of Luxembourg to celebrate urban art and graffiti. Inspired by the success of Paris’ famous “MUR Oberkampf” and previous graffiti projects in public spaces such as the ventilation towers of Place Guillaume II, LE MUR Luxembourg promises to present a vibrant canvas of graffiti and street art styles. While the exhibition initially opened on Fort Neipperg Street, it has since moved to Luxembourg City Museum 14, rue du St-Esprit.

LE MUR stands for “Modulable – Urbain – Réactif” or “Modifiable – Urban – Reactive”. It takes its name from the artworks that are constantly changing. The first artwork, crafted by Luxembourg-born Sumo, lays the foundation for future art exhibitions. Now and in the coming weeks, “LE MUR” will host Major 176a prominent figure in the international graffiti scene. Pro176 will become the 15th artist to bring magic to the city.

Born on July 29, 1976 in Paris, PRO176 began his artistic journey at a young age, inspired by the American cartoonist Jack Kirby. His style has evolved through collaborations with influential graffiti artists such as SEEN and membership in groups such as Grim-Team and UltraBoys International. He believes the hidden meaning behind his work is a matter of interpretation, saying “the eye sees… everything, but it can also deceive us”.

“LE MUR Luxembourg” continues to be a creative platform, curated by non-profit organization I love graffiti With the support of the City of Luxembourg, this collaboration highlights their commitment to enriching the city’s cultural landscape through urban art.
