The 27th festival will run for three days from August 9 to 11 and will showcase a number of international and national music acts, with OG Keemo and Markus Schulz taking the lead.
As in previous years, the e-Lake Festival will rely on its tried-and-true music mix, covering genres such as electronic, rock, pop and even hip-hop.
The focus on Friday is hip-hop. The headliner is German rapper OG Keemo, who topped the German album charts this year with his album “Fever”. Rapper DCVDNS is also no stranger to German rap fans. Luxembourg’s hip-hop scene will be represented by De Läb and de Brooze, among others.
On Saturday there will be 12 hours of electronic music: German-American DJ Markus Schulz will be the headliner, London DJ Ben Gold (one of the most famous trance performers at the festival) will perform. Luxembourg will be represented by the national band The Waztoo.
Last but not least, on Sunday it’s the Luxembourg Festival. Attendees can look forward to performances by Schëppe Siwen, Dëppegéisser and Toxkäpp, as well as DJ dr.gonZo and DJ Dee.
A variety of new food and beverage stalls will keep visitors well fed and hydrated. A “cashless payment system” was introduced two years ago, with all financial transactions on site being conducted via card or mobile phone.
However, this year’s festival attendees will have to give up one tradition, as there will be no camping this year. As Jempi Hoffmann from the organizing committee explains, there are two reasons for the decision not to offer camping this year.
On the one hand, the demand for overnight stays at campsites has dropped significantly since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, but on the other hand, the operating costs of campsites are huge.
The festival is free and the full lineup can be found here here.
