Six chefs with a total of seven Michelin stars will host a fundraising dinner in Mondorf-les-Bains on Wednesday in aid of the Luxembourg Cancer Foundation.

The “Nuit Blanche” gastronomic experience was a charity dinner to raise funds for cancer research in the Grand Duchy. The event sold out quickly and a total of 208 guests attended the six-course dinner. The price per person was €265 including the wine pairing.

Organizers Premium Magazine and Quallista said the event is part of two initiatives to raise as much money as possible for the Luxembourg Cancer Foundation. There will also be “an auction dedicated to living art, highlighting works by national and international artists,” according to officials.

The last competition raised 13,000 euros

The second Nuit Blanche dinner was originally scheduled to take place on the rooftop of the SixSeven restaurant on the top floor of the Royal Hamilius building. However, due to weather conditions, the organizers had to scramble to find an alternative venue at the last minute. Now, the event will be held at the Thermes in Mondorf.

Among the famous chefs are Cyril Morad Luxembourg’s only two-Michelin-star restaurant, Ma Langue Sourit in Moufort, and Charles Coulomb La Maison in Nancy recently opened two new locations at the Centre Pompidou-Metz.

On August 11, Coulumbo will return to Luxembourg to cook with Ryôdô Kajiwara of the Grand Duchy’s Japanese restaurant Ryôdô, which also holds a Michelin star. The other four chefs at Wednesday’s fundraiser are Frederick Simoninformer chef of La Table de Joël Robuchon, one Michelin star in Paris; award-winning pastry chef Aurelie Colon-Clerk, worked at the three-star Flocons de Sel hotel in Megève; Maxime Collard the two-star La Table de Maxime in Palliser, Belgium; and Benjamin Pastry Chefchef at La Chabotterie in Montreuil, one star.

The first Nuit Blanche event took place on November 29, 2023 at the Sofitel Europe Hotel in Kirchberg with nearly 170 guests, raising 13,000 euros for the Cancer Foundation through a raffle and an art auction.

The event is named after the white chef uniforms worn by the award-winning chefs who participate in the event.
