From June 30, 2001 to June 30, 2024, it has been 23 years since the creation of the Revolutionary Party, at the will of the friends, comrades and sympathizers of Alhaj Ibrahim Boubacar Keita. Let us remember that the creation of the RPM was based on profound social values of honor and dignity. This political project was pregnant with broad ideological currents, as well as great sympathy and solidarity, which enjoyed the support of our compatriots. Since then, the Weaver Party has already achieved a brilliant electoral victory in the 2002 legislative elections. This momentum has been maintained in the presidential and legislative elections of 2013, the municipal elections of 2016 and the legislative elections of 2020.
In these 23 years, there have been ups and downs. The party celebrated this anniversary in a period of doubt, since it lost power on August 18, 2020, more than two years after the death of the founding chairman of the IBK. There are good reasons for the differences of opinion among party officials. After losing power in 2020, the Weavers were in chaos. The first major shock to the party after the events of 2020 was the resignation of the Youth Chairman, Speaker of the National Assembly, Moussa Tinbin. After the departure of the baron, a real fight broke out in the party, which led to hell for the party. These differences led to a trial, which culminated in a Supreme Court ruling on June 12, 2023, which referred the party to an organizational congress. Alas! Barber Ganau’s supporters prefer the politics of empty chairs. There have been many difficult times in recent years. The challenge for the Weavers is to have the necessary resources to overcome this period of doubt and return to the big leagues. The management of power in RPM is the style of Dinachev. Those who are responsible must find themselves in order to turn around this dark page. In politics, you should never give up on your beliefs.
