Former Air New Zealand and House of Travel executive Bruce Parton has taken on the role of Recorp chief executive.

New aluminium drinks can manufacturer Recorp was due to open its south Auckland factory in September, five months later than originally planned due to a site change.

The sustainable factory is the brainchild of former Air New Zealand CEO and angel investor Rob Fyfe and will produce 1,850 cans per year.
