Libreville, Thursday, August 15, 2024 (Gabon News) – After a visit to Akanda, the Transitional President continued his republican tour to the commune of Owendo, where he held a meeting on Monday, August 12, at the Setrag station square.
The many people of Owen who came to welcome the Head of State expressed their happiness at his presence. The Special Representative of the Municipality of Owendo, General Arnold Sandri Nombo, had earlier welcomed the Transitional President and his delegation on behalf of his constituents. The Owendo MPs presented a list of grievances to the Head of State covering several issues, the most important of which were youth unemployment and strengthening of infrastructure (schools, hospitals, markets, etc.).
In response, the head of state called on the Owenites to foster patriotism while carefully protecting the national heritage that remains a public good. In response to the issue of youth unemployment, he said: “For all those who want to enter the health and education fields, it is necessary to retrain those who have diplomas, because this is a field of the future. It is agreed that retraining in these fields will be possible and the Minister of National Education is ready to receive your files.” General Brice Clotel Origi Nguema also assured that mechanisms are being developed to curb youth unemployment.
In addition, he announced the construction of a large market in Owendo and then announced the allocation of 1 billion (One billion) CFA francs to the municipal government.

It added: “The institute currently has more than 500 agents working in different specialities and this team will be strengthened in the coming months to meet the demand for services.”
Remember that the Gahouma Institute was established to improve healthcare services in Gabon and its main responsibilities are: microbiological research and epidemiological surveillance.
