Senior Hezbollah commander Talib Sami Abdullah was killed tonight (Wednesday) in an Israeli raid in southern Lebanon, according to the country’s media. Lebanese newspaper Al-Hadath reported that this is the most important official to be dismissed since the start of the war. Sources told the agency that the importance of the senior field officer is similar to that of Wissam al-Tawil, the commander of the Radwan force who was eliminated in January this year.
Israel has yet to comment or claim responsibility for the attack, which reportedly killed three other people.
