Popular Nigerian actress, Regina Daniels has once again made headlines as she stood firm against the violent protests in Northern Nigeria. In a video shared on her verified Instagram page, she expressed her concerns over the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests in the North, saying that the protests have escalated beyond peaceful demonstrations and will not achieve the desired progress.
After receiving backlash for her comments about the nationwide protests, Regina responded to critics who said she was too lucky to understand. “Yes, I am lucky, but that doesn’t mean I don’t understand,” she said. “My nanny, doorman, and cook need extra support due to insecurities. Just because I’m lucky doesn’t mean I don’t see what’s going on.”
Regina Daniels made it clear that the problems facing Nigeria cannot be solved by one person. She stressed that her remarks were not intended to support the government or seek public approval. “I am just speaking the truth. This protest is becoming dangerous and we need to recognize that quickly,” she said.
Her comments came in the wake of the #EndBadGovernance protests, which began on August 1, 2024, and have turned violent in some states.
