Over the course of four nights, fans packed three venues across the Northeastern United States to see Roman Vigo on his “Gentlemen’s Tour.”

From Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT to Crown Hill Theater in Brooklyn, NY and The Ave in Philadelphia, PA, the reggae artist delivered awe-inspiring, career-defining performances to promote his new album, The Gentle Man.

Night after night, he seamlessly blended new material with tried-and-true crowd favorites throughout his hour-and-a-half shows. The crowd had no problem singing and dancing along, and the collective experience was so vibrant and raucous that every night it felt like home to Roman.

Roman was not without help, of course. He was backed each night by his seven-piece band, which included singers Janeel Mills and Tori Lattore, who opened the show with a mix of original music and classic reggae covers. A different DJ kicked off each show with a variety show in the early evening: DJ Buck & Bojangles from New Haven; Platinum Kidz on the first night in Brooklyn; Rory Stonelove on the second night in Brooklyn; and Young Genna and Solomonic Sound System from Philadelphia.

“Thanks to the fans and everyone involved in making this tour a success. I’m so glad I was able to give my supporters this experience. I can’t wait to do it again,” said Roman Virgo.

Richard Lue of VP Records added: “It is a great honour to be able to work with professionals like Romain and his team to put on these shows. He deserves all the success he deserves. I would also like to thank our sponsors for their support: the Jamaica Tourist Board, Victoria Mutual Remittances and Victoria Mutual Building Society.”

Romain Virgo will also perform in Kingston on June 16, bringing his new music to Jamaican stages.
