Our society needs to do things right so badly that we get really frustrated when we insist on screwing up and move our legs. It’s like reaffirming a commitment to something that wasn’t done right.
Regrettably, it has taken us more than 20 years to revise the old penal code that was inherited directly from Napoleon Bonaparte in France.
Every time they try to approve these changes, our legislators and specific departments do something outrageous to protect themselves from the evil.
In fact, they did not do this to protect society, but for profit and to evade criminal responsibility. They went against common sense and took the path of impunity.
A blatant denial of their political and social commitments. It is a shame that they refuse to do the right thing.
