Politicians across the state reacted to the news from U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J. Their hard work ensured that these brazen crimes were proven, and our nation is grateful for their service.”
Curtis Bashaw, Republican candidate for Menendez’s U.S. Senate seat:
“This is a sad day for New Jersey, but the feeling is all too familiar. New Jersey families deserve better than the continued corruption and televised political scandals that come with Bob Menendez and the Democratic machine.”
Jersey City Mayor and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Steve Fulop:
“While our justice system has made it increasingly difficult in recent years to hold corrupt politicians accountable, today’s guilty verdict is a powerful statement that reaffirms trust, and the Southern District deserves credit for being fearless in its prosecution.
