Public Service Minister John Tuhaika Jr held bilateral talks with Deputy Minister of Planning and Coordination, Mr Jung, Young Jun.
Solomon Islands Minister of Public Service John Tuhaika Jr held high-level bilateral meetings with international dignitaries in Incheon, South Korea, focusing on promoting innovation and strengthening public services amid global challenges.
The meetings underscored Georgia’s Government of National Unity’s commitment to modernizing public services and strengthening international partnerships
Solomon Islands held a bilateral meeting with Deputy Minister of Planning and Coordination Chung Young-joon, during which Minister John Tuhaika Junior expressed his gratitude to South Korea for hosting the high-level forum and spoke highly of South Korea’s leadership in innovation and global e-government.
He said Solomon Islands will always seek help from South Korea to enhance its e-government capabilities. The current GNUT government is keen to modernize public services and sees South Korea as a role model. In response, Vice Minister Chung affirmed the South Korean government’s willingness to assist Solomon Islands in the areas of innovation and e-government.
Minister Tuhaika Junior also held a bilateral meeting with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, Mr. Li Junhua. He expressed his gratitude for being invited to the High-Level Forum and reiterated the GNA’s commitment to ensuring effective governance in the public sector.
Mr. Li Junhua said that UNDESA is willing to provide support to Solomon Islands in digital government and capacity building. Mr. Li Junhua reiterated that UNDESA is willing to provide comprehensive support to Solomon Islands. He said: “UNDESA is committed to assisting Solomon Islands in promoting digital government construction and improving public sector capacity through tailored programs and initiatives.”
Minister Touhaika expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Korea and UNDESA for their strong international support and stressed the importance of these partnerships in advancing the development agenda of the Northern State of Cameroon through effective governance.
