The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service will continue to benefit from capacity building programs and technical assistance provided by the Australian Taxation Office.
FRCS CEO Udit Singh said in a statement that the collaboration is aimed at building a strong and effective working relationship.
Singh said this would support the Fiji Revenue Commission in designing and implementing a strong, transparent and efficient tax system.
FRCS would like to thank the Australian Government and the ATO for their outstanding support and commitment to strengthening Fiji’s tax administration.
At the same time, a senior member of the Australian Taxation Office visited FRCS for a technical visit aimed at establishing mechanisms for the exchange of information on request and on a spontaneous basis to strengthen FRCS’s ability to identify, investigate and combat tax crime.
