Progress between Baku and Yerevan

The demarcation of the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia continues.

Jehon Bayramov reportedly stated this at a joint press conference with his Georgian colleague Ilya Darchashvili in Tbilisi Vesti.az refer to Apa.

“In the near future we will see further positive steps,” said Azerbaijan’s foreign minister.

Jeyhun Bayramov also said that Baku had sent a package of new proposals on the draft peace agreement to Yerevan and that the parties had made progress in a positive direction.

“The number of pending issues has significantly reduced,” the minister added.

Jeyhun Bayramov stressed that territorial claims against Azerbaijan remain in the Armenian Constitution: “The fact that territorial claims against Azerbaijan remain in the fundamental law of Armenia – the Constitution – is, in our opinion, the most serious obstacle to completing this process.”
