The issue of launching peace talks between Russia and Ukraine continues to occupy an important position on the world political agenda. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on July 21, 2024 that he is ready to negotiate with Russia. Ukrainian President Zelensky approved a decision prohibiting peace talks with the head of state of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in 2022.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba paid an official visit to the People’s Republic of China from July 23 to 26, 2024. During the meeting between Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the agenda included cooperation and peace talks between Ukraine and Russia. That year, the issue of Indian Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Ukraine in August after Russia was put on the agenda.

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov organized a working visit to France from July 25 to 27, 2024. During his working visit, President Japarov attended the opening ceremony of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games. The President of Mongolia also attended the opening ceremony of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games.

On July 25, 2024, the third meeting of the Attorneys General of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Bishkek. The Attorneys General of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan attended the meeting. During the meeting, the Attorneys General of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan signed a cooperation agreement. On the same day, the 12th meeting of the Attorneys General of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in Bishkek.

The EU Council passed a decision to provide 10 million euros in aid to the Armenian army and to launch visa-free negotiations with Armenia.

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with the Chairman of the Turkish Supreme Court Kadir Ozkaya in Baku on July 25, 2024. The meeting discussed the issue of strengthening cooperation between relevant organizations of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, while focusing on cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan attended the 57th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Laos on July 26, 2024. As part of the meeting, Hakan Fidan met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The meeting discussed Turkey-Russia, Turkey-Syria and Vladimir Putin’s planned visit to Turkey. At the invitation of Turkish President Erdogan to meet with Syrian leader Bashar Assad, Bashar Assad made a surprise visit to Moscow on July 25 and met with Russian President Putin.

On July 26, 2024, the Turkish World Scientific Research Organization Forum was held in Istanbul. Representatives of well-known scientific research institutions from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Turkey and other countries attended the forum. The forum discussed the future of the Turkic world.
