The President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu William Katoniwere, has reminded public servants of the important role they play in the functioning of government institutions.
“In fact, you are the hands of government,” he said while presiding over the 2024 Public Service Medal Award Ceremony (Second Class) at the State House yesterday.
“Your duties include implementing government policies, providing essential services to the public and ensuring efficient administration.”
President Katoniwere added that their dedication and professionalism are essential in maintaining the smooth functioning of government departments and agencies, ultimately serving all citizens of Fiji.
“It is through your hard work and commitment that our rural, coastal and urban communities thrive.”
