President Erdogan holds important meeting in Washington

President Erdogan, who traveled to Washington to attend the NATO leaders’ summit in the United States, held important meetings during his trip.

On the first day of the summit, President Erdogan met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Greek Prime Minister Mikotakis, German Federal Chancellor Scholz and Italian Prime Minister Meroni.

Erdogan reiterated that Israel’s massacre in Gaza must be stopped.

President Erdogan held an important meeting on the second day of the summit.

As part of the summit, President Erdogan met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky yesterday.

The outcome of the war between Ukraine and Russia was discussed during the meeting.

President Erdogan reminded that they will continue to work to end the Ukrainian-Russian war. He stressed that Turkey is ready to mediate for the establishment of peace.

President Erdogan said they will continue efforts to revive the Black Sea transit initiative.

President Erdogan discussed regional and international issues, including the Ukraine-Russia war and Israel’s attacks on Palestine, during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

At the meeting, President Erdogan stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between Turkey and France in all aspects.

Erdogan said that Turkey’s pace of joining the European Union should be accelerated and he supported Türkiye on this issue.

President Erdogan also received the new British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Washington.

At the reception, Erdogan expressed his hope to further strengthen Turkey-UK cooperation.

President Erdogan congratulated British Prime Minister Starmer on his new position and wished him success in his future endeavours.

On the final day of the summit, Erdogan also had a brief conversation with US President Joe Biden.
