Papua New Guinea Bar Association president Hubert Namani has condemned the recent massacre in the Angolam area of East Sepik Province.
He said such killings were a shocking massacre given the current trend in the country.
“They are carrying out a massacre in Angola, following the recent massacre in Enga, which I reported on.”
He said: “As president of the Bar Association, it is my responsibility to address the events that took place in both provinces this week.
He said we are very concerned to hear the news and we condemn the killing in the strongest terms.
Mr Namani further said these perpetrators must be punished.
“The perpetrators must be swiftly arrested and brought to justice. We cannot let them go unpunished. They must face the full force of the law,” he said.
On July 16, a total of 26 people were killed by 33 armed men in Tanbari village of Angolam district.
