Police seize cannabis plants and cash in Peleliu drug bust

Peleliu Island, Palau – In March 2024, police seized more than $30,000 worth of drugs and 182 marijuana plants during a drug raid on Peleliu Island. Anna Gotlob was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled substance.

The Attorney General’s Office filed a felony indictment against Gottlob on July 4, 2024. If convicted, she faces up to ten years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

According to police reports, officers executed a search warrant at the residences of Gotlob and Kalingo Kangich in Koska, Peleliu Island. Officers found marijuana seeds, pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, marijuana plants, plastic bags, scales, ledgers and $600 in cash in the house. An additional $31,600 was found in a vehicle parked at the house.

The search also revealed 40 cannabis trees inside the barracks and another 142 cannabis plants growing on the property.

Prosecutors said the findings showed Gottlob was involved in trafficking controlled substances.
