The operation was part of a series of operations conducted under the supervision of Narendra Kumar Boodhram, Director General of the Passport and Immigration Office. So far this year, around 15 similar operations have been conducted, resulting in the arrest of 585 illegal immigrants.

In addition, just yesterday, two Bangladeshis (a man and a woman) were arrested while cooking dholl puri in Plaine-Verte. The authorities also reiterated their determination to continue these actions to regulate the situation of foreigners in the country and ensure that immigration laws are respected.
