Poland has arrested 18 people since December on charges of sabotage activities on behalf of Russia and Belarus, including plotting to assassinate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
Poland’s Internal Security Service said in a statement that a total of 18 people have been detained since December last year, including citizens of Poland, Belarus and Ukraine.
It was revealed that some of the arrested persons were directly related to the recent attacks and arson incidents in the country.
Polish Interior Minister Toomas Szemoniak has reportedly conducted sabotage activities on behalf of Russia and Belarus that threatened national security, including cyberattacks and facilitating the entry of Belarusian refugees into Poland.
Polish prosecutors said one of the detainees was planning to assassinate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and was suspected of being a Russian insider.
