The Polish military announced that Russian missiles and drones had violated Ukrainian airspace on the morning of August 26. RMF24 reported on this.
The Polish Armed Forces’ combat command said an “air object” flew into Polish territory near the Ukrainian city of Chervonograd during Russia’s morning airstrikes on Ukrainian cities, but it was not a missile. The announcement was made at around 13:00 Polish time.
General Maciej Kleszcz said it was probably a drone and the search was still ongoing in Poland.
He believes the drone may have crashed in the area of the town of Tyszowce – on the Polish side of Chervonograd and Sokal. The town is about 30 kilometers from the Polish-Ukrainian border.
On the morning of August 26, Poland once again scrambled military aircraft amid a massive Russian missile attack.
