PNE offers half-price tickets after rain dampens weekend mood

There’s an old saying that if it rains in Vancouver in the summer, the PNE is open.

To help with this, the PNE will offer half-price admission Tuesday through Thursday, August 27-29. (The PNE will be closed every Monday except for Labor Day, September 2.)

“Due to several days of rain, including record rainfall on Saturday, August 24, the PNE Expo is announcing a 50 percent discount on Expo tickets sold” for three days, PNE spokeswoman Laura Ballance said in a statement Sunday.

“The response to the 2024 fair has been very positive, but due to the heavy rainfall we had last week and Saturday, we are looking to restart the fair on the final weekend.”

Discounted tickets must be purchased in multiples of two and must be of the same type. Discounted tickets can be purchased online or at the on-site ticket booth, and discounts are available for advance purchase.
