Journalists in Nakuru County on Wednesday staged a protest to condemn the shooting of their colleague, Catherine Kariuki, during an anti-government protest in Nakuru town.
They met at the railway yards and began walking through Kenyatta Avenue, the busy city’s main street.
They stopped briefly at the site where Catherine Wanjeri Kariuki was shot three times while covering an anti-government protest on Tuesday.
Kariuki, a reporter for Radio Kamime, was shot while covering the protests.
Journalists in Nakuru gathered holding placards and chanting slogans condemning the violence against the press.
