PDP makes new appointments, Chaponda, Chimurilungi serve as presidential advisers – Malawi Nyasa Times

The main opposition Democratic Progressive Party announced new appointments to several positions within the party.

According to a statement signed by DPP presidential spokesperson and national publicity secretary Shadric Namalomba, the party has appointed Dr Clement Mwale as presidential adviser on political affairs, Dr George Chaponda as presidential adviser on policy development, Chimwemwe Chipungu as presidential adviser on organisation and Jean Mathanga as presidential adviser on electoral administration.

Other appointees include: Charles Mhango as Adviser to the President on Legal Affairs; Dyton Mussa as Adviser to the President on Youth Affairs; Aaron Sangala as Adviser to the President on Operations; and Everton Chimulirenji as Campaign Adviser to the President.

“The appointments are effective immediately. The party extends its heartfelt congratulations to all its members who have been so honoured,” Namalumba said in a statement issued on Sunday.
