Para triathlon originally scheduled for Sunday postponed
The Paralympic triathlon, which was due to be held partly on the Seine River, was postponed by a day because organizers deemed the water quality of the river insufficient.
Despite a 1.3 billion franc investment in an attempt to clean up the Seine in preparation for the Olympics, the river’s swimmability remains precarious.

All events of the Paralympic triathlon, originally scheduled for Sunday in Paris, were postponed by one day “as a precautionary measure for the swimming capacity of the Seine River,” organizers announced late Saturday into Sunday.
The 11 events planned for the programme, which include a Paris river swimming component, will finally take place on Monday after rain again hit the French capital two days ago.
