Palau’s Olympic team is participating in the Olympics in Paris for the first time.

Palau’s Olympic team makes its first appearance at the Paris Olympics. Brother and sister duo Jion and Yuri Hosei are the first siblings from Palau to qualify for the Olympics. Another special “first” is the daughter of a former Palauan Olympian named after the Sydney Olympics, who is also making her Paris Olympic debut, Sydney Francisco. Not only did they excel individually, they also brought something unique to the Olympics, proudly representing their country, Palau.
