Large numbers of people demonstrated in Tel Aviv tonight (Tuesday) alongside families of the abductees, calling for an urgent deal to release the abductees from captivity in Gaza. Demonstrators blocked Ibn Gwirol, chanting “There is no more pressing issue – return the abductees” and waving signs reading “The people demand a deal”.
Among the protesters was actress and comedian Orna Banai, who broke down in tears and screamed, “Get them out of hell! Scumbags! Save them! Save them!” Watch video of Orna Banai’s protest above.
Einav Tsengaoker addressed protesters after her final message with her kidnapped son Matan was published. “I call on the families of the victims not to give up and release videos proving that the kidnapped are alive and were alive and were murdered,” she said. “It is important that our people see the magnitude of the neglect and failure. No one can evade responsibility.”
