This year, residents of Panevėžys will receive game tables and modern outdoor fitness equipment at the Park of Culture and Recreation.
These devices will perform similar functions to those that disappeared from urban spaces in early spring.
Head of the Panevėžys Municipality Sports Department Živilė Užtupaitė said that such sports equipment will be purchased with funds from a joint project with Latvia.
According to her, not only will simulators be built, but training sessions will also be held during which physiotherapists will teach them how to use the simulators properly.
The plan is to teach about 200 people who want to play team sports.
It is planned to build three game tables and fifteen different fitness equipment in the cultural and leisure park behind the main children’s playground, on the location of the old fitness equipment on the left.
