oneworld has once again been named the ‘Most Popular Airline Alliance’ by Trazees, marking the third consecutive year and seventh time the global airline alliance has received this accolade.
The new honor, voted for by readers of Trazee Travel, an online publication for travelers aged 25 to 40, commends the alliance and its members for their commitment to travel and customer service, as industry trendsetters and a favorite among millennial travelers.
The awards ceremony took place at the Joseph Hotel in Nashville, where Chris Quiriconi, Oneworld’s director of corporate sales and events, accepted the award on behalf of the alliance.
oneworld members Alaska Airlines and Royal Air Maroc also won the trophies for “Most Popular Airline Website” and “Best Airline in Africa” respectively, demonstrating the alliance airlines’ continued investment in digital transformation and customer experience.
Hamad International Airport, the hub of oneworld member Qatar Airways in Doha, was also voted the “Middle East’s Favorite Airport” by readers for the third consecutive year thanks to its seamless connections and extensive services.
The news comes as oneworld continues its double-award winning streak, having been named ‘Best Alliance’ at Global Traveller magazine’s annual ‘Wines on the Wing’ awards.
The award ceremony is held in New York and is now in its 18th year.
Chris Quiriconi, oneworld’s Director of Corporate Sales and Events, said: “To be named the ‘Most Popular Airline Alliance’ is a testament to our member airlines and the excellent customer service and connectivity they provide every day around the world. It demonstrates the value our customers place on travelling with oneworld members.”
“The alliance and its members were also recognized for providing the highest quality wines on board, demonstrating their commitment to providing passengers with the best possible travel experience at 35,000 feet.”
