In Panevėžys, the newest Museum of Contemporary Art, the Stathis Museum, opens to the public.
The three-day opening event will be complemented by a video projection about the birth of the museum’s murals, directed by Donatas Ulvydas specifically for the occasion. The author of the concept is Dalius Abaris.
Anyone interested can see the projections on May 31 and June 1 from 10 pm until 11 pm at Respublikas St. 40.
“This weekend we invite all residents and city guests of Panevěž to curiously visit the museum from the inside and outside. We will show an impressive giant video work on Friday and Saturday evenings, which will reflect the creative process of Stasis Eidrigevičius when he created the main murals located on the ground floor of the museum,” says Vaida Andrijauskaitė, Director of the Stasys Museum.
The video projection will be enhanced by a sonnet composed by local resident Broniaus Kutavičius for the work of Stasios Eidrigevičius.
The song is 10 minutes long and will be played repeatedly. The broadcast time may be adjusted depending on weather conditions.
