Muscat: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman has issued a statement expressing appreciation for the recent meeting of Palestinian factions in China and the subsequent signing of the Beijing Declaration.
The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the urgent need for Palestinian unity and advocated empowering the Palestinians through all political and diplomatic channels to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories. The statement stressed that Oman supports the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement stressed: “This is in line with the Palestinian people’s aspirations for freedom and peace and relevant international legal resolutions.”
