Fishing prohibited in Sevan
There has been no fishing in Sevan for the past two months. This is something that former fishermen have already admitted in interviews with us, that they had collected all their fishing rods and left the coast of Sevan because there were no fish to catch. All this has led to a sharp increase in fish prices. If the price of 250 grams of fish was 500AMD before, it is now difficult to find the same fish for 1,000AMD. Fishermen say the lack of fish is due to a lack of actual control and no one can prove how many eggs were released.
