The guest of the new episode of the Tanjug Reflektor video series is director Nikola Kljajić, who talks about exhibit “Brave Hajduchka” at the Dadov Youth Theater.

Krajic said that “The Brave Thief” was a big challenge for him because he needed to gather a large number of children in one place, but on the other hand, “it was also a great pleasure to bring this musical to Dadov.”

According to him, the idea for the play came from screenwriter Nemanja Ostojić, who created the play based on the motivations of the Disney animated film “Mulan”.

Kljajić noted that 50 children appear in the play, adding that it is a mix of generations, as the youngest actor is only 10 years old and the oldest is 23 years old.

Kliajic mentioned that he hoped that during the intense production process and the very fast tempo and rhythm, such a complex form as the show and the musical would not be turned into a monster.

In his words, he even tries to sweeten the process for them, making them want to perform at the top level in every aspect of their singing and playing.

The play’s message is to develop one’s own individuality and integrity, Kljajić said, adding that their approach of working with the children allows each of them to discover some talent in dance or acting, giving them a chance to stand out.

“The message is that one should be consistent with oneself, one’s goals and desires, but on the other hand, think about and don’t rule out some other options,” the director said.

Kljajić revealed that he and Milica Burazer are preparing for the “Golden Acorn” theatre festival in September, which will focus on young people, namely students who have completed acting and directing, as well as their private projects in order to provide them with the necessary visibility.
