this Ottawa Senators Agreed to a three-year contract with guard Carter Yakemchuk.
This is an entry-level contract for the team’s No. 1 pick and No. 7 overall pick in the previous draft.
Yakmchuk spent the past three seasons with the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League, setting career highs in goals (30), assists (41), points (71) and minutes (120) while leading WHL defencemen in goals against in 66 regular-season games.
He spent his entire career with the Hitmen junior team and recorded 131 points (53 goals, 78 assists) in 189 junior games.
