New Zealand won the Oceania U-19 Men’s Championship by defeating New Caledonia 4-0 in the final in Apia.

Lachlan Cundy’s goal just before half-time set the tone for the match, putting New Zealand ahead.

His goal set the stage for New Zealand to take more control in the second half, with Luke Soupik coming on strong in the second half, scoring two goals, including a penalty.

New Zealand’s defence was impenetrable throughout the tournament, not conceding a single goal.

As the game progressed, New Zealand’s confidence grew.

Soupik extended their lead with a header from a free kick from Tunsen Walker and his successful penalty further solidified their advantage.

New Caledonia’s hopes were dashed when Vadrija Hanye was sent off, leaving them with just 10 players.

James Bulkeley then scored a goal with the help of a team effort, leaving New Zealand’s dominance beyond doubt.

With this win, New Zealand completed a perfect campaign and look forward to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile next year.
