Tazabek – Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev today, July 5, 2024, as part of a working visit to the Jalalabad region, participated in the opening of the 35/10 kV “Deires” substation in the village of Deires-Sai in Aksi. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
At the Second People’s Kurultai Conference of the Republic, held on December 15-16, 2023, the construction of a 35/10 kV substation in the village of Deires-Sai and a pumping station for the reclamation of 90 hectares of irrigation land were discussed. Water that was previously developed but not used due to lack of irrigation was considered water.
In response, representatives of the Aksi region appealed to the president to build a new substation.
According to the document, the appeal included a request: “If there is electricity in the designated area, then water can be taken from the Naryn River by installing water pumps.”
The President instructed to take a decision on the construction of substations in designated territories.
“Today this task has been completed and the new transformer substation has been built. Now the people’s demands will be met and 90 hectares of land will be supplied with water and irrigated. The construction was financed by the Kyrgyz Open Joint Stock Company NES’ own funds in the amount of 16 million som,” the statement said.
Talaybek Ibrayev said that in order to overcome the deficit in the energy industry, a number of small hydropower stations have been built and put into operation in the past three years.
“Large-scale projects are being launched. At the same time, the power industry is updating outdated equipment and building more substations.”
It is understood that before the construction of the 35/10 kV Deires substation, the village of Deires-Sai was supplied with electricity through the 10 kV overhead line Deires feeder from the 35/10 kV Uch-Korgon substation. This line also supplies electricity to the residents of Tels, Kichi Tels and Kalpak villages as well as the pumping station, but due to power outages, the pumping station was forced to work on time.
After the completion of the 35/10kV Derez substation, the power supply quality and reliability have been significantly improved.
With the commissioning of the new substation, important issues have been resolved:
* Created conditions for irrigation of 90 hectares of previously developed but unused land for agricultural production.
* According to the development plan of the village government, documents for converting an additional 20 hectares of land from agricultural and other types of land to residential land have been prepared.
*Centralized drinking water supply system is under construction and cascade pumping stations will be constructed in this direction as per the project.
* Create opportunities for the development of infrastructure and small and medium enterprises.
* All this will limit internal migration and, most importantly, will lead to sustainable development of the population of border villages and at the same time lead to growth of the border potential.
Adequate electricity supply is the foundation of rural development.
* Irrigation pumps in Deires-Sai, Ters, Kichi-Ters and Kalpak villages receive electricity from the 35/10 kV substation “Uch-Korgon” through a 25.4 km long feeder line, but due to voltage loss on the line, irrigation at the pumping stations was not carried out on time, resulting in a poor harvest of crops. Now, conditions are in place for electricity on demand.
* According to the long-term development plan of Deires-Sai Village, the power load will increase in the next five years, and the total additional power will reach 3150 kilowatts, including:
– Under the Taza-Suu project, two 150 kW water pumping stations will be put into operation;
– One non-operating pumping station will be put into operation – 250 kW;
– Three pumping stations with a capacity of 750 kW will be built and 90 hectares of land will be developed;
– 200 residential buildings will be built on 20 hectares of land – 1000 kW;
– Small and medium enterprises will develop – 1000 kW.
