“New Road” participated in the British University International Film Festival

Writer, producer, interior designer, stylist Adel Hudayr directs the narrative short film “A New Path” which participated in the 5th British University International Film Festival and won the first prize and the Best Film Award. Best Film and Film Director of the Film Festival. College Film Expo Affiliated to the United Nations, it revolves around the issue of violence against women in a different, surreal, fantasy way, in which we see the pain of the woman and the challenges she faces and how she is finally defeated with the help of the United Nations. All this in a fantasy environment dominated by silence and using different pharaonic styles, starring artists Hamdi Heikal – Bahjat Adly – Fatima Muhammad Ali – Sherry Ashraf – Mido Fayed – Andrew Jamil – Donia Al-Thaqib, with the singer Menna as the lead. It is noteworthy that this work was selected from more than 1,300 submitted films in the official short film competition of the Silicon Valley African Film Festival in the United States, which will be held on October 12 next year. Last February, the film premiered in the Short Film Market section of the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, the largest short film festival in the world, and was selected from 25 films to participate in the official short film competition of the Ayyam Kada Arab Film Festival in Algeria. From various Arab countries, the Annaba Mediterranean Film Festival in Algeria and the Emirates International Film Festival in Dubai.
