New polling data released Thursday shows Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump neck and neck in several key swing states.
Conservative market researcher conducts survey on the public opinion strategy of the competitiveness alliance show Harris leads Trump in Pennsylvania (48% to 45%) and Wisconsin (48% to 46%). The two are also tied 45-45 in Michigan.
Meanwhile, Trump leads Harris by one point in Nevada and three points in Arizona. The survey was conducted from July 23 to 29. Pollsters interviewed 400 people in each swing state, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.19%.
Even though 57% of respondents said they disapproved of Joe Biden’s performance as president, a significant number said Harris would get their vote. In five states, Trump and Harris were tied, each receiving 46% of the vote.
Voters picked inflation, border security and threats to American democracy as their top issues from a range of options, with abortion a close second.
A Bloomberg News/Morning Consult Poll A poll of registered voters released Tuesday showed Harris leading Trump by 11 percentage points in Michigan, and by 2 percentage points in Arizona, Wisconsin and Nevada.
Political polls don’t always Best indicators Polls tend to iron out nuance or capture the opinions of only the most politically active people. But the new data is still significant given how far Biden trailed Trump in the final days of the campaign.
