Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expressed condolences to the Palestinian people and the Islamic world over the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Iran yesterday.

Hakan Fidan took part in a television interview, made statements on the priorities of the agenda and answered questions.

When asked if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received a standing ovation during his speech to the U.S. Congress last week and if he was encouraged by the U.S. support, Hakan Feddan said the situation would undoubtedly always motivate Netanyahu.

“I think Netanyahu knows this very well. He has occupied the United States. If war breaks out in Lebanon, the United States will have no choice but to go to war with Netanyahu,” Hakan Fidan said.

Regarding the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Iranian Hamas Political Bureau, Hakan Fidan said: “They should not forget that they killed him and thus stifled peace. I emphasize this sentence.”
