Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said World War III would break out if NATO troops entered Ukraine.
Lukashenko discussed current issues in an interview with Russian state television “Russia”.
Lukashenko stressed that Ukrainian drones violated the country’s airspace and said this had happened many times.
Lukashenko said they had taken appropriate measures to deal with possible threats from Ukraine and said they had laid mines and deployed troops on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.
Lukashenko also spoke about the possibility of NATO sending troops to Ukraine; “If they bring in NATO troops, World War III will break out. “Because when that happens, both tactical and strategic nuclear weapons will be used, and there will be a terrible reaction.”
Lukashenko said they do not want an escalation of the situation: “We do not want to go to war with NATO. But if they do, we will have no choice. We will not have a red line. We have a line, which is also the state border. “Those who step on the border will be answered,” he said.
