In Latvia, the nationalization tender for the Moscow Tower in the center of Riga will begin on August 20, with the proceeds from the sale planned to be used to support Ukraine. The Latvian media reported this.
The auction will begin on Tuesday, August 20, and will run until September 19. The building itself is being auctioned at 7, st. Marijas, with the entire plot totaling 966 square meters.
The starting price is 3.57 million euros.
In January 2024, the Latvian Parliament approved the nationalization of the Moscow Chamber because it engaged in politicized activities under the guise of cultural activities, threatening Latvia’s national security.
Before nationalization, the Moscow House of Representatives was part of an institution whose de facto owners were Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
