Libreville, Tuesday, August 20, 2024 (Gabon News) – General Blaise Clotaire Origi Nguema, who had previously paid warm tribute to the father of independence, Léon Mba, and former President Omar Bongo Ondimba, the father of renewal, said that it was possible to achieve the rule of law in Gabon. He mentioned that thanks to the liberation of August 30, 2023, the Gabonese people took control of their own destiny, on the basis of rewriting the history of the country.
The Head of State adhered to the motto of the Commission for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI). “It recommends that the best interests of the country take precedence over our individual desires,” he said. In addition, he welcomed the recommendations made by the Inclusive National Dialogue, especially the elaboration of a new constitution, which he said constituted “an opportunity to rebuild our country.”
Clearly, Gabon has always been a haven of peace and this remains a valuable and cherished achievement for Gabonese. The President of the Republic assured his compatriots that the CTRI is committed to preserving it in order to promote the country’s progress and economic, social and cultural development.
General Blaise Clotaire Origi Nguema said: “Dialogue and tolerance have been established as principles of governance, which has strongly promoted diplomacy in response to repeated requests for help and support for friendly countries caught in various crises.”
