The National Bank of Cambodia has ordered that old and dirty US dollars be accepted without deductions.
Through a press release yesterday, all banks and financial institutions, as well as general foreign exchange dealers, were informed that the Kingdom of Cambodia will accept old or dirty US dollars from its customers free of charge, unless the banknotes are counterfeit and lost and cannot be identified and requested. All counterfeit US dollars withdrawn will be sent to the National Bank of Cambodia without compensation.
