Nastase on EU exit plan: The authorities’ incompetence has caused losses

[ad_1]

According to noi.md, Nastase believes that the losses suffered by Moldova after joining the program exceeded 360,000 euros, which is related to the poor management of the current government.

“The so-called pro-European authorities complained that they spent 400,000 euros from the state budget but received only 38,000 euros. I think this fact once again shows that even if there was a source of funds, the authorities would not be able to cope with the tasks. Maybe, as the authorities claim, the move to join the program was unprepared and premature. But who prevented them from turning things around when they were in power all those years? No one. Just the unprofessionalism and incompetence of the state leadership and managers of the cultural sector,” said Nastase.

The politician called the case regrettable and noted the need to review all previous decisions that led to the loss of budget funds and Western funding.

“This is necessary in order to save the Republic of Moldova from further losses and bring to justice the thieves and incompetents who have caused great damage to the country, regardless of their political color,” Nastase stressed.

We would like to remind you that the Republic of Moldova has withdrawn from the EU Creative Europe program, which aims to support the creative sector, culture and audiovisual arts. This was stated by the Minister of Culture, Sergei Prodan, during the Realitatea te priveşte program on Rlive.

The minister clarified that the decision was made because the country received few projects but high donations. According to Sergey Prodan, during the three or four years that Moldova participated in the program, it paid donations worth more than 400,000 euros and received 38,000 euros.
