Serie A club Napoli said on Wednesday it has signed defender Leonardo Spinazzola on a free transfer.
Although no further details were given, Italian media reported that the 31-year-old signed a two-year contract last month after leaving Roma, a club for which he played 151 games.
Spinazzola was a member of the Italian team that won the European Championship in 2021, but his playing time has been limited recently due to injury.
This is the first major signing for Napoli coach Antonio Conte, who took over in June after the club had gone through three managerial changes and finished 10th in Serie A.
